About Me

My Name is John Bedard. I used to live in western Massachusetts but in the spring of 2025 my wife and I moved to eastern Iowa. My family history research started as a personal hobby and has grown over the years. Now I enjoy trying to help others climb their own family trees. Below is more information.

I have given a talk for the Connecticut Society of Genealogists on researching in upstate New York. One of the more difficult states to do research in.
